Dinner Tally (Part Two)
*May 11, 2007
Many of you have asked how the Dinner Tally is going. This picture should explain a lot. At first glance, it may seem that Chad and I have eaten only three meals since April 30. Chad's second dash was hard-earned last week: he grilled us some steak and fried some green beans, a classic Chad recipe. My third and fourth dashes were much easier than that: I fixed Kraft Macaroni and Cheese when we returned from our trip to Arkansas on Sunday night, and I made spaghetti from a jar on Wednesday night.
We've obviously eaten more than that. But the Dinner Tally has had a result that was unexpected when we first started it. It's actually caused us to forage individually for our food. Me, I'm happy to eat Rice-a-Roni by itself for dinner, as it's what I did all through college. Chad has gone upstairs a few times to partake of real home-cooked meals prepared by our friend and neighbor, Ryan, who is appalled at our eating habits. We have beaten ourselves. No tallies, and, also, no dinner.
Our individual capacities for stubbornness have surprised even me. It's on like Donkey Kong.

you? stubborn?
no way.

Impeccable taste?? Spring, you just made my day! Of course, it's hard to go wrong with Crate&Barrel!
Your Dinner Tally cracks me up. At our house it would be Katie: 1238734928734 Josh: 3. It's okay. He mows the lawn sometimes, so that makes up for it.

Ha ha! I made mac n cheese with weenies last night because I haven't been to the store all week. Bryan and I ate it out of bowls while we watched TV. I said "Hey... sorry about dinner," to which he replied "Are you kidding?! I love mac n cheese."
