If You're Still There
*October 31, 2007
I don't think anyone reads this anymore. Which, in a way, is liberating. It means I can say whatever the hell I want to say, including the word "hell." In another way, it's completely soul crushing. Want. To. Quit. All the time. Helllloooooooooo.
If you're still sticking around (and God knows why), here's a little treat. I've taken to making soundtracks for every season. I'm more than a little proud of them because, if you ask me, they kick ass ("ass," yes, is another word I feel I can now say). I put this particular mix on my work server, and I've gotten several compliments on it. So I thought I'd share it with my reader(s). If you don't steal music (and, really, you should), let me know, and I'll see if I can get the songs to you, I dunno, via e-mail or something. Or, if you ask really nicely, maybe I'll even send you a good, old-fashioned burned CD via good, old-fashioned mail.
Some (most) of these songs aren't new by any means, but I can't seem to stop listening to them, even when I try really, really hard. They just fit, you know?

I was listening to Feist this morning on VH1. I was momentarily shocked that there was actually music on VH1. Then Alicia Keys came on and was writhing and grooving with her keyboard. She totally ruined my morning.
Oh, and yes, people still read your blog. Don't quit!

I admit - I have no idea who any of those people are. I feel so uncultured.
And I read ever day. So don't stop. I rather enjoy your writing.

I'm still reading!
Are you participating in Nanowrimo this year? I have been enticed (yet again) to take a stab at the 50,000 words by November 30. It seems a little daunting...

It would appear that thinking no one is reading and saying so- will bring all the readers out of the woodwork! Like I said before, I'm still reading- and enjoying!

I'm still here! And to prove how dedicated I am, I was behind on all my blog reads from a busy couple months. It just so happens that "W" falls pretty close to the end of the alphabet, so it was the last one I had to catch up on.
I have read all of your archives from September through this one. I'm here, I'm here!
And by the way, I LOVE that Feist song right now. I've had it in my head for a good week now. I can't get enough of it. They were on SNL last Saturday. Did you see it?

what a beautiful fall mix! I'd love a copy via email... we're doing a CD swap on my site for the month of November but the theme is love songs. Maybe we can arrange a trade?
