It's Beginning to Taste a Lot Like Christmas
*November 8, 2007
Sarah and I were at Starbucks last night when they switched the fall menu boards out for the Christmas menu boards.
We had been discussing the ways in which Christmas is different now that we're adults. Christmas has lost a lot of its meaning for me as I get older, to be sure, but last night I was comforted by the fact that at least I've gained the wonder that is the gingerbread latte.

You are totally right. Christmas isn't quite the same as it was when we were kids. But the interesting thing for me is that it still has a lot of awe and wonder associated with it. But now its a different kind. Where I used to be in awe of presents and candy, now it's much more about the experience of the christmas season. It's about the family and special times.
And anyways, nothing beats the apple cider at starbucks on a cold day. Now that's Christmas!

I was just talking about gingerbread lattes this morning. So delicious. Celestial Seasons also makes a gingerbread tea that is great.
