Lunch with a Side of Politics

Me:...And that's why the voting bell curve is the way it is--because Americans are uninformed, and they don't take the time to inform themselves.

Chad: I think that's kind of a strong statement. Not really based on fact.

Me: No, you're right. It's an opinion. Most of what I say is.

Chad: No, THAT's a fact.

EDIT: I simply cannot believe that someone thinks my blog is important enough to post a campaign pitch in the comments section. For that reason alone, it stays. However, I would like to note that I do NOT endorse Hillary.

ANOTHER EDIT: Nothing makes me happier than to see sarcastic political dialogue going on in my comments.

Find It In:

It's very important that everyone vote for Hillary Clinton in this election. She is the only candidate with 5 important attributes (there are more but I forget the others): integrity, morals, passion, patriotism, and kindness. It's time for serious change in America, it's time for Hillary Clinton.

If someone posted that on my blog, my first thought would be that someone is playing a joke, especially because of te last line: "It's time for serious chance in America, it's time for Hillary Clinton."

It seems a little over-the-top, but then again, I guess most campaign slogans are.

Vote Mitt Romney. We need a stormin' Mormon in the White House.

America.

A stormin' Mormon? Are mormons allowed to storm? I'm pretty sure that's against their code, or something.

Wow! I haven't seen political agendas show up in comments- ever. I guess if it's up there, and people read it, then it's sort of doing it's job as advertising, right?

Although I'm Canadian, I do care who the president is (although I won't go on about it here, I'll save you that ;) ). I will say, that it would be great to see more people voting. It was frustrating watching the news and seeing how many people were unhappy after the last election, or who complained about who won. If you vote, I think you can complain. No vote, no complaining. I wish there was a way to make that a law... Okay. Now I'm done.

This is the problem with America. First we allow freedom of speech, we get sloppy and women sneak in the right to vote (I think the term suffrage confused the decision makers), Al Gore invents the internet and then everyone with free time and a high speed connection reverts to the first amendment and starts a blog. And what has this gotten us? Canadian comments….Canada people… we’re letting Canadians post on our flag-waving, baseball-loving (Cubs Suck!) apple-pie baking blogs. This has got to stop and with all do respect, I don’t think Hillary is the man to do it. I don’t know who will come out of the Republican Party nomination, but I hope he has the smarts to close our borders and ban Canada from participating in our poorly edited ( Spring, feel free to edit this for spelling, punctuation and grammar) blogs. Good bless America, may you find the strength to correct this injustice.
How’s that for sarcasm?

Spring, Chad, congrats on the new place, I just stopped by to see how life is treating you, sounds like you’re doing just fine.

TT
Side note: big fan of Canadians, love the maple leaf, can't get enough Molsons.

I wish I had something witty and funny about poltics to post, but I don't.

Therefore I am just going to say, blah, blah, blah, do NOT vote for Hilary.

Everyone should laugh now.

Whoever TT is? Awesome. Hilarious. Love it.

Spring, you've officially hit the big-time. Last week, you were wondering if you had readers left. This week, Hillary is using you to get votes.
