My first copywriting gig.
*January 28, 2008
I was commissioned last week to write a paragraph for an upcoming agency event. My words are now plastered on posters all around the five agency floors of the building.
N-GEN Studios is proud to host the Creative Imaging Showcase. We invite you to come have a look at some of CI's best work from the past year, learn a little more about the team, and meet the artists behind the scenes.
Shakespeare, look out. Notice my beloved Oxford comma.
Sometimes I become convinced that, since cliches come so easily for me, I was born to be a copywriter.
As well as my ability to make the best of anything.

Ha! As I read it, I thought to myself, "Yes! She used the Oxford comma!" Because, really, it's the best kind of comma out there.
And I wish I could force all my students to use it. I kinda hate the ones who don't.

Seriously, they will have to pry the Oxford comma from my cold dead hands before I give it up. It make SENSE. Hooray for you!

Long time no read. I was thinking of you this morning and wondered if our restricted internet would allow me to bring up your page. And it does! Woohoo.
I am proud of you and the new job. I got a writing job too! Rejoice. I must admit I had to look up what the Oxford comma was. (uh duh - just never heard it called that - serial comma - yes) Anyway, I agree. I love to use it. A sentence is naked without it.
