You asked, I told.

A commenter yesterday pointed out that I never really said why I don't like Hillary. I did, kind of (puppety, will not be able to win the general election), but not really.
The reason I'm not a huge fan doesn't really have anything to do with Hillary herself, actually. A lot of people have qualms with her personality or her stances or her platforms or her fundraising, or even her gender, but I don't. For the most part. If I'm being super honest, I have to say that the pharmaceutical thing kind of pisses me off.
The real reason is: if she were to win the Presidency, two families will have been in control of our country for the past two decades. And if she goes on to be reelected, the number goes up to three. THREE DECADES. OF TWO FAMILIES.
And that, to me, is absolutely unacceptable, regardless of who those families are.
And that, to me, is the real reason she's not the agent of change we need.
Today on the way to work I ended up behind an SUV with a Barack '08 bumper sticker on it, and it was everything I could do to keep from honking. And I found myself wanting my own. This, despite the fact that I'm against bumper stickers as a whole. And the fact that my car is a lease. And the fact that I live in Texas.

How interesting. That never occurred to me. And again, I like to see the loser be the vice president.

you know I really agree with you on this one. It seems that we would also be hearing a lot of "who's really running the country?". At the same time, I would really like to see a woman be president, but maybe just not Hillary.

Well I suppose it would have made sense if I had let you know about the whole nominating thing. I never really got that far...

wow. thanks for pointing that out. i had never thought of that. not that i was going to vote for her, but now i'm even more sure.
i saw my first obama bumper sticker this morning and found myself wanting one as well. and if my family wouldn't disown me for one, i'd be all about it.

I'm not sure if he's playing that dog- I just know he's led on stage and then walks in a circle! The ballet will be in Tulsa from February 8-10 and then in OKC on March 8. You should definately come see it!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this dilemma. I'm kind of tired of the "back, back and forth" with the presidents
(sorry, just as I was typing this up that line came up in Aaliyah's "Back & Forth")
foundya through 20SB, btw :)

I absolutely agree (re: two families being in charge of the country for TWO decades). I don't think it's what the founding fathers had in mind when they created a democracy.

That's a great point that I hadn't thought of before. Nice one.
