An entry lifted straight from an e-mail I wrote today.

Chad and I exchanged "I love you"s for the first time in March of 2004, about four months after we began dating. We had just spent a really, really long spring break apart. I had been with my family in Florida, and was on the phone with Chad as much as possible that week. During one of our conversations (in which I was apparently pretty giddy and giggly), my older brother came in the room and was teasing me about Chad, and then my older sister came in and said, "Leave her alone; she's in love."
And then I knew it. My sister was right; I was in love.
As soon as we got back to school after break, we were lying in bed together cuddling, and Chad asked me if I had something I wanted to say to him. I guess I looked kind of shocked, because then he said that he knew what was going on, and that he felt it too.
And then he told me he loved me. And I said it back.
I totally blurted it out for the first time to Zack over the phone. I tried all the tricks I could think of to get him to ignore the fact that I had just confessed the LoveBomb to him in an untimely and unromantic manner. Finally I had to own up to it. "I LOVE YOU," I said, "Deal with it." He responded to the comment about three weeks later after my not-impulsive-in-the-least husband had a chance to think about it. He picked up right where I left off with an "I love you, too."

Aww! That is so sweet.
I said I love you to B for the first time by accident. It was my away message, and he was NEVER MEANT TO SEE IT. But I blame a flat tire, and my ignorance. We said it for real in person about a week later. About 1 month after we started dating. Hey, when you know, you know. ;-)
