Dear Person Who Keeps Coming to My Blog by Googling "Spring Frankenburger John Brown University":

February 27, 2008

Welcome to my life.

I have to admit, at first I was afraid of you. I'm not exactly sure what you were looking for when you searched google for "Spring Frankenburger John Brown University" on February 19th, but you seem to have struck gold. Fourteen pages in one visit that first day is a lot. And then you kept coming back for the rest of the week. Over the weekend it seemed you'd lost interest, but on Monday you returned for seven more hits, six yesterday, and three so far today.

It seems that we've become fast friends. And I couldn't be more thrilled about it.

But I'm a little bit worried about letting you down. I see that you know me from my college days, my maiden-name days. I'm different now. I'm a little more cynical. Not as happy. Restless. Flighty. Self-defeating. Unsure. The girl you were googling was consistently happy and a touch wide-eyed. She believed in the possibilities her future held; she was eager to start the rest of her life. She was goal-oriented. Pleased with herself. Proud of herself.

However, we've been through a lot of pages these past several days, and you seem to be okay with these changes. You keep coming back. And the suspense is killing me. Do I know you? What was the impetus for you to google me the other day? Where are you located? Did you find what you were looking for?

And so, new reader, I invite you to bookmark me. Go ahead. It's a lot easier than going through google every day, I promise. Especially several times a day.

I also promise to never again put you on the spot. But the girl you googled was curious and impatient, and that's one thing that hasn't changed.

Lots of love,
S.

Find It In:

Wow, that's crazy! Cute post, but kind of creepy someone googled you like that! Maybe it's a secret admirer!

OK, I'm sure you've heard this about 50 billion times, but I have to tell you that every time I read your married name, I get the REO Speedwagon song "Dream Weaver" in my head, since they rhyme. (OK, they don't really. But they do sound alike.) Just thought I'd share. :)
