Dallas Morning News Video of the Oak Lawn Democratic Caucus

I could describe what the caucus last night was like, but because I'm at home sick today I'm just going to recommend that you watch this video. Because I'm totally in it. For those of you who don't know what I look like, I'm the girl with the curly blonde hair trying to get out of the way of the lady saying "Y'all are gonna have to move out of the way so we can come through here and get things done."

And then there's a shot immediately after of me leaning over a table, my hair in my face, signing in to the caucus while another lady waves her arms in front of the camera and says something about people getting crushed.

There were roughly 500 people there last night to caucus, and we didn't leave until around 10:30 p.m., but it was worth it because I'm totally one of 23 Obama Delegates for Dallas Precinct 1233. I'm going to the county convention, baby.

Ha, yes, that is ME looking very pissed off with the world.

I hate lines and crowds and was also sick. Enough excuses? :)

You are a very pretty woman. Very married and pretty!

Whatever happened to the writing class you took with all the Stepford wives?

Thanks, Jef. :) And thanks for the pic.

I quit the writing class, actually. After the class size dwindled down to three people, I decided I should get out before I became the last one left and felt compelled to stay.

Also, am a Big Quitter.

Laura: What are you referring to? And you're not ignorant. This whole primary process is super confusing for everyone!

Wow. Texas primary voting is SUPER confusing. I spent 30 min after reading this post reading about the process and had to read all the steps a few times to get it figured out. The two-step process threw me off, but what I was questioning was you being a delegate and going to the convention. I get it now. Congrats. I guess it just never occured to me that delegates got to be you know, real people. :)

Yay! You're famous!

The shot between your two cameos in the video was a bit distracting (the clip of the woman signing her name to the caucus). I'm not a big jewelry person, but that rock was MASSIVE! Geez!
