My younger brother was playing cars
with our nephew on the floor.
"You're loosing your breeches," he said,
pulling the toddler's elastic-waisted jeans
back over his diaper.
He looked up at me, bewildered.
"Why did I just say 'breeches?'''
I had been looking on, smiling.
"It's what Dad used to say to you."

so true. It was really odd when I started realizing that I was becoming more and more like my parents, they always told me I would, but honestly I never believed them.
