Breathe out so I can breathe you in.

It struck me today that if there's a better metaphor for being in love than two people singing together, I don't know what it is.

Cases in point:

"We hear pretty pretty music
Coming from the street down below
And the melody carries
Won't you sing with me, sweetie?"

Also,

"And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You gotta promise not to stop when I say when
She sang"

What's your favorite love song?

Find It In:

My favorite song is probably "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight" by The Postal Service.

I love this line, "I am finally seeing that I was one the worth leaving."

Okay, wait the question was what is my favorite LOVE song. Damn okay. Um... okay this is going to be corny, but it is probably "From this Moment" by Shania Twain.

Please, please let me defend myself.

What does it for me is this line, "You're the reason I believe in love, and you're the answers to my prayers from up above." It just seems like the waiting finally paid off.

... or whatever. Shania Twain is lame.

Mine is "Shameless" by Billy Joel, but I happen to like the Garth Brooks version better. It is so passionate and honest.

"I've never lost anything I've ever missed, but I've never been in love like this.... It's out of my hands, I'm shameless."

I LOVE "When You Say You Love Me," by Josh Groban. LOVE it.

I also love "The Luckiest," by Ben Folds.

It's so hard to pick a favorite. There are so many good ones! Gah, OK ... I'll go with Josh. I have this list of things that to me prove there's a God because science can't create something that beautiful. Josh Groban's voice is on that list. Totally not lying.
